After Care

SECOND SKIN

Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

  • 1. Bandage (Second Skin)

Leave the bandage on for 1–3 days, unless it begins peeling or lifting.

If the bandage starts coming off early, remove it immediately and begin the aftercare routine.

To remove: use soap and water to gently loosen and peel it off.

  • 2. First Day Without the Bandage

Wash your tattoo well with clean hands.

Always use antibacterial liquid hand soap (not bar soap, no scents, no dyes).

    I recommend: Dial Gold.

Keep the tattoo clean and dry — no lotion or ointments on the first day.

  • 3. Two-Week Aftercare Routine

Wash the tattoo at least twice a day with antibacterial liquid soap.

Moisturize 3–4 times a day with a thin layer of unscented, dye-free lotion.

    I recommend: Curel.

  • 4. Protection & Hazards

Do not pick or scratch at the tattoo.

Avoid: Soaking in water (pools, baths, hot tubs). And Direct sunlight on the tattoo.

If exposed to environmental hazards (unclean gym equipment, pet dander, etc.), cover the tattoo with loose, clean clothing. Wash the tattoo as soon as possible after exposure.

Following these steps will help ensure your tattoo heals clean, vibrant, and long-lasting.
